Our Team

John Gimenez

John Gimenez is the Vice President of Event Programming & Content at VenuWorks. With over 25 years of experience buying events and working in agencies, John has been integral in the launch and success of VenuWorks Presents.

John began his career in Nashville where he spent eighteen years as a successful talent agent for William Morris Endeavor, the Agency Group, and APA. Prior to joining the VenuWorks team in 2014, John worked for ACE Theatrical Group where he was responsible for talent buying and promotion for the Majestic Theatre and Empire Theatre in San Antonio (TX) and Saenger Theatre and Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans (LA).

John is a member of International Association of Fairs & Expositions; International Entertainment Buyers Association; The Academy of Country Music; and, the Country Music Association. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas. GO RAZORBACKS!

Tricia Gonyo

As the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Tricia Gonyo is accountable for the sales and marketing efforts for VenuWorks Presents. She is responsible for the strategy, tactics, and programs to drive interest, demand, and sales for our events with effective public relations, advertising, strategic relationships, and direct, channel, and digital marketing.

Prior to joining the VenuWorks executive team in 2014, Tricia was a Sr. Client Development Director at Ticketmaster where she was responsible for the sales and account management across an eight-state territory. Additionally, Tricia previously served as an adjunct professor teaching Sports Marketing classes.

Tricia earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration and Corporate Communications from Simpson College and a master’s degree from Iowa State University.

Krista Dunn

Krista Dunn, Director of Booking and Marketing, is responsible for compiling and analyzing the consumer and event data needed to make effective booking and marketing decisions. She is accountable for the coordination and execution of ticketing and marketing efforts at VenuWorks Presents.

Prior to her current role, Krista spent eleven years in various positions at Ticketmaster. In her most recent role as Client Development Manager, she was responsible for managing the business relationship in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and Kansas. During her time at Ticketmaster, Krista supported several high-profile events, including Presidential Inaugurations in 2009 and 2013.

Krista holds a bachelor’s degree and an M.B.A. from Iowa State University. GO STATE!

Nick Tremmel

Nick Tremmel is responsible for the creation and customization of all VenuWorks Presents promotional images. He also serves as a resource to venue marketing professionals in areas such as image selection, design elements, email marketing, and photography.

Prior to joining VenuWorks, Nick operated his photography business in Grand Haven, MI. With over fifteen years of experience as a professional photographer, Nick specializes in capturing natural images that celebrate the lives of his subjects. He has had the opportunity to photograph theater, festivals, concerts, sports, conventions, and many other live entertainment events across the country.

Nick is a graduate of the University of Iowa.

Clay Stravers

As Booking & Marketing Coordinator, Clay Stravers is responsible for the success of VenuWorks Presents digital marketing and promotion. He spends countless hours monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of our marketing activities. Additionally, Clay manages our cross-channel social media content.

Prior to joining VenuWorks, Clay worked in the marketing department at ICE Technologies. He was also a digital media intern for ALSAC | St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Clay recently graduated from Iowa State University with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations.
